Humor in Academia?

Sometimes I wonder if some of my professors have a sense of humor...SOME of them prefer scratchy sweaters (Hawaiian shirts occasionally..) and equally scratchy-looking pants to laughs.

Maybe, I'll start referencing the Journal of Universal Rejection to draw a chuckle while my professor reads another paper on the state of Social Security. Or maybe he (sometimes she...) will just scratch at his scratchy sweater.
