Most gem-encrusted shoes have cheap-looking gems/gaudy look/over-designed.  Or they will soon look cheap when the gems fall off your cheap shoes.

I know some people (mostly happy sport) take offense at star struck clothing...but these babies look even better in person!  I'm talking Kate Spade gem-encrusted shoe spiffy. Bonus: day (actually kind of questionable, I'd go out on a limb here...) and night appropriate! I'm tempted to get a pair and pray for all the gems to stay in place.

Rep Rope Print Bandeau, 55 at Topshop

I had never been in a Topshop shop (topshop shop, topshop shop!) before my trip to New York a few weeks ago. I had been warned that my mind would be blown. It wasn't. I loved the store and saw many things I wanted to buy, but I'm just not quite convinced that Topshop is worth the price increase from H&M standards. Some things were definitely higher quality (some of the shoes, maybe), while some beaded and detailed pieces were already falling apart on the racks. In an attempt to be less trendy/more timeless, I walked out of Topshop into the rain empty-handed!
