Ducks in the Rain

When you see a boy in duck boots, you know his mom still buys his clothing. Cutteeeee....but lately I've been seeing them everywhere, which makes me think that some splash happy boys have been perusing the LL Bean site by themselves. Something practical from LL Bean becoming cool, esp among the frat/srat crowd...NOVEL.
LL Bean mens duck boots
LL Bean has been making duck boots for almost 100 yrs – time for this design to move up the food chain. Designers like Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch have taken a nod from the rugged classics company in the past few seasons.  Hers and his duck boots? Yes please!

Unlike Timberlands, frat boys aren't pretending to be something they're not when they wear duck boots. So frat stars, ditch the works boots and embrace your preppy WASP-y side self and lace up those duck boots.

Why Men Love Bitches

Thanks to a late night text from Sailing Equestrian - "I need a boyfriend".... I decided this post was necessary.

Greatest book EVER!! Well, sort of... a lot of my friends read it over the summer after freshman year hardships and heartbreaks.  Yes, we realized our dreams were not coming true and none of us are marrying the boys we met during orientation week.  We thought they were perfect and obsessed over them all year and many drunken escapades....how dreamy, but unfortunate and reality checked in eventually.  It does not matter anymore and the important thing is we all learned our lessons... The good news is, we are back, new semester....whole new ball game boys and newly declared bitches on the prowl; thanks to this book.

We thought we were ready to take on every frat star on campus, and mold him into the perfect ivy league boyfriend.  Half-way through the semester...being a classy bitch has worked great for one friend... the rest of us have not been so successful. Either way, this book was insightful on many things I was doing wrong.  Most importantly it gave me confidence to be who I am, especially when it comes to a relationships. With new confidence, I attempted it.. still failed.  Maybe I will read another great relationship book over break and have a new approach to try next semester!

Spotted at Cornell: Timberland

Welcome to Timberland, the land of the classic male work boot. The classic male work boot.

Who wears these boots? The obvious stereotypes: construction workers, carpenters, heavy equipment operators, garbage men, lumber jacks oh and Cornell boys. Yes, Cornell boys. These are the boys who walk around thinking they own the big red, frat bros, trust fund babies etc.

Why do they feel the need to wear the most horrendous boots? Especially, since work boots are meant to be worn when you are working. Spoken by a true farmer, "those boots have never seen a day of work in their life." After class, do these boys work on building more pong tables for their frat's party that weekend? Is that why they need construction boots? Why do they wear the laces all undone and scuff their feet as they go to class (when they do)...does it make them unique/cool/attractive? Do they think they actually look cool? Do they think it's in style? I ponder these questions everyday on my way to class. Ahhh someone needs to help theses boys out

Boys, make me a happy sport and let Biggie rock the Timberlands; get your mommy's credit card, order some real boots and stop pretending to be something you are not.
