J.Crew what are you thinking??!?!

While I was looking at all the new J.Crew spring collection I happen to discover this eye-sore. J.Crew overalls?? Really, J. Crew has overalls online. I admit I loved overalls as a kid, but on a grown woman??

These even make this super skinny model look heavy! It's horrible, they are fugly. The back is so unattractive. Jenna I do not like your picks!! At least now you can be a farmer and wear J. Crew?

  1. Truth, these are gross. And I concur, Jenna's slacking.

Note: Jcrew loves to put those skinny belts on EVERYTHING. I wonder if they're extremely profitable compared to normal belts bc Jcrew is always pushing them.

  2. hmmm they are always pushing them..but they are also always on sale and they claim to be real leather.. also they are always at the jcrew outlets like crazy.

do you think it might have anything to do with the fact a lot of there clothes do not have a lot of shape and are boxy and they do that to hide some of their target markets midsections and they push the belts to meet the market of people our age or thinner people. it's like a cheap fix to meet the demands of their diverse age in clientele. i am probably completely wrong, but i think it's a possibility

  3. maybe consumers are more likely to impulsively buy a thin belt...it's even less of a commitment than a normal belt.

and unlike normal belts, consumers can justify multiple usages (normal belt, waist cincher) that can pull together an outfit. people dont have to be convinced to buy a regular-width belt, but if they're inundated with Jcrew mannequins and models wearing the thin belt...and then they'll buy one!

    hmmm...
